THE ORIGIN STORY

Audrey Márquez spent the early years of her career in New York City, working at the intersection of design, craft, and commerce — learning every stage of what it takes to build something beautiful and make it last. Her path took her through a heritage luxury house at J.Mendel, into the role of founding designer at two rapidly successful start-ups, Retrofete and SER.O.YA, and into special projects and private label collaborations with retailers including Net-A-Porter, Intermix, Revolve, FWRD, and more. Her work has been featured in Vogue, WWD, and InStyle.

It was also where she developed a lifelong obsession with vintage clothing, antique textiles, and the stories that live inside handmade things. In 2019, that obsession took shape as Adele Rose Vintage — a boutique sharing her archive with the world. A line of antique lace bridal dresses from that collection caught the attention of Anthropologie Weddings, leading to the launch of Audrey Adele: a bridal and occasionwear label inspired by vintage embroideries and artisan embellishment, reinterpreted for the modern woman.

In 2020, Audrey traded life in New York City for New Orleans, establishing her independent consulting practice and expanding her work to brands building outside of traditional ‘fashion capitals’. That experience — translating specialized handcraft into commercially successful product, balancing creative integrity with real margin targets — became the blueprint for everything that followed. Six years and a growing team later, that practice has become ADELIER: a product development consultancy supporting womenswear brands through design, development, and production.

THE CRAFT UNDERCURRENT

This is what sets ADELIER apart. Not just operational expertise, but a genuine fashion point of view. A deep reverence for textiles, technique, and the artistry behind how things are made — from hand-loomed wovens and custom embroideries to heritage craft traditions developed alongside global artisan partners.

It's the ability to think like a designer and execute like a production partner. To speak the language of both the creative director and the factory floor — honoring the craft behind a collection while ensuring it performs in the market.
